Issues & Advocacy is your stop for anything legislative or regulatory for education. Your voice is needed during every legislative session to ensure the best outcome for our students, schools, and educators across Tennessee. Due to safety concerns and pandemic-related restrictions at the Capitol, TEA Civication is not taking place this year. Follow important action on TEA Facebook and Twitter.
You'll also find TEA's Public School Advocate is the definitive bi-weekly education review for Tennessee's General Assembly. TEA's Capitol Insiders - grassroots lobbyists, teachers and education support professionals like you - receive special alerts, sometimes daily, when action goes into high gear around issues with real impact on you and your children. Members can subscribe, or unsubscribe, at any time. A home email address is required.
TEA posts regular information concerning the State Board of Education whose decisions can carry the weight of law. They have tremendous impact on every facet of Tennessee's classrooms.
