Aspiring Educator Programs
The Student Tennessee Association (STEA) is a pre-professional organization for those aspiring to become educators. Through its affiliation with the Tennessee Education Association (TEA) and the National Education Association (NEA), we are the largest collegiate program for Aspiring Educators, with over 45,000 members nationally on over 1,100 campuses. Here in Tennessee, we have over 2,200 members on our 42 campuses, including community colleges and four-year colleges and universities around the state.
STEA focuses on the four core values of Educator Quality, Community Outreach, Political Action & Racial/Social Justice. While the four core values guide the work of our organization, it is a student-led organization with leadership structures at the campus, state, and national levels. As an Aspiring Educator, we hope you join us as a member and enjoy the professional support and member benefits listed and linked below.
For more information about TEA’s aspiring educator programs, please contact Tommie Leaders (tleaders@tnea.org) or Chris Watson (cwatson@tnea.org).
